SAMMY HAGAR: More Information Revealed About Concert Postponements

May 3, 2007

Sammy Hagar's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"Sammy Hagar regrets to announce he will be postponing three scheduled performances that were to take place at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Lake Tahoe, due to illness. The three performances were scheduled to take place on May 4th-6th as indoor performances to celebrate the Cinco de Mayo weekend as well as the third anniversary of the Tahoe Wabo. Hagar will instead perform one large outdoor performance on Sunday, June 17th at Harvey's Outdoor Arena in South Lake Tahoe, NV. The weekend of June 16th-17th will also mark the third anniversary of the annual 'Opening Day Lake Tahoe' festivities. Hagar will accommodate all of his fans in attendance at the new show with additional bleachers that will be built behind him, and to his left and right, around the stage. Any VIP tickets that have already been purchased for the three cancelled shows will be honored at the newly scheduled outdoor show. Additional tickets for the new date will be available at all Ticketmaster locations and through ticketmaster.com or APEconcerts.com. For any questions regarding VIP tickets, please contact I Love All Access at 1.888.I.LUV. AXS (458.8297) or [email protected]."

As previously reported, Hagar is scheduled to open a Cabo Wabo Cantina (music, food and tequila joint) in Fresno this fall.

Hagar, a former VAN HALEN frontman and longtime solo musician, opened the first Cabo Wabo in 1990 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, a resort town at the tip of Baja. His Cabo Wabo Tequila business took off shortly afterward.

A song called "Cabo Wabo" appeared on VAN HALEN's 1988 release, "OU812".
